Physical Education (PE)

At Weston Rhyn Primary School, active learning, physical development and physical fitness are at the heart of our curriculum and are a key priority for the school.  We believe that providing children with regular opportunities to be active not only supports their physical health but also promotes positive mental wellbeing, resilience and happiness.  Through high-quality PE lessons, active playtimes, outdoor learning, enrichment clubs and participation in a wide range of sporting events, pupils are exposed to a variety of physical activities and experiences that encourage them to discover new interests and talents.  We are committed to helping every child build confidence, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and nurture a lifelong love of being active.  By creating an inclusive and supportive environment, we ensure that all children can challenge themselves, experience success and develop the knowledge, skills and motivation needed to lead healthy and active lives.

We are proud to have achieved our School Games Platinum Award.

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games Platinum Mark Award for the 2025/26 academic year. The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012,
