Maths

At Weston Rhyn, we want every child to develop confidence and enjoyment in mathematics. We inspire children to think mathematically, solve problems and make connections between different areas of learning.

We believe that strong maths skills are essential for everyday life and future success. For this reason, maths is a high priority throughout our school.

Using the White Rose Maths scheme, we support children to develop a secure understanding of number, calculation, reasoning and problem-solving. Children are encouraged to explain their thinking and apply their learning in a range of real-life contexts.

Our aim is for every child to become a confident and resilient mathematician who approaches challenges with curiosity and determination.
