Your Child's Breakfast (NSBP)

National School Breakfast Programme

From September 2020 onwards, we are proud that our school has signed up to receive free healthy breakfast food as part of the Covid response offer, under the National School Breakfast Programme (NSBP), which is being delivered by the charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast.

As part of this government funded programme, schools can choose to offer children a healthy breakfast at school or at home, at no cost to the school or parents.

Every two weeks, our school receives a delivery of a fortnight's worth of nutritious and healthy breakfasts (bagels and cereal) for every child whose parents have signed them up (148 already!).  These arrive in school and are sent home with the children/picked up every two weeks.

The benefits of a healthy breakfast are well documented -  and include children being settled and ready to learn at the start of the day

FIND OUT MORE:  Allergen and ingredient information on ALL of the possible foods that may make up part of this offer can be found below.  However, please note that the delivery we receive will be a random mix of cereal types from NSBP (so it remains the parent/carers' responsibility to check the food sent home against the allergen/information (which will also be sent out to all parents who have requested to receive a free breakfast pack for their child).  If in doubt, please do not take a risk.

NB:  The packs sent home will be sealed and must remain unopened until they are handed over to each child's parent/carer.  In this way, there will be no issues with allergies whilst the 'breakfast packs' are being transported home.
